Monday night 07/12/2010 & Tuesday 07/13/2010 is Shaban 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Shaban, 1431. The moon was sighted in both San Francisco, CA and Houston, TX. Consequently, Rajab ends with 29 days and Shaban begins at Maghrib on Monday, July 12, 2010. The 1st of Shaban is Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

The Chicago Hilal Committee will meet on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 (Shaban 29, 1431) to determine the start of Ramadan. If the moon is sighted on August 10th, the 1st of Ramadan will be Wednesday, August 11th. If the moon is not sighted, Shaban will complete with 30 days and Ramadan will begin on Thursday, August 12th.

Sunday night 06/13/2010 & Monday 06/14/2010 is Rajab 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Rajab, 1431. There were no valid reports of moon sighting anywhere in North America. Consequently, Juma'ada Al-Thani will complete its full cycle of 30 days, and Rajab begins at Maghrib on Sunday, June 13, 2010. The 1st of Rajab is Monday, June 14, 2010.

05/15/2010:

Friday night 05/14/2010 & Saturday 05/15/2010 is Juma'ada Al-Thani 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Juma'ada Al-Thani, 1431. The moon was sighted in several places including San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA. Consequently, Juma'ada Al-Awwal ends with 29 days and Juma'ada Al-Thani begins at Maghrib on Friday, May 14, 2010. The 1st of Juma'ada Al-Thani is Saturday, May 15, 2010.

04/15/2010:

Thursday night 04/15/2010 & Friday 04/16/2010 is Juma'ada Al-Awwal 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Juma'ada Al-Awwal, 1431. There were no valid reports of moon sighting anywhere in the United States. Consequently, Rabi-ul-Thani will complete its full cycle of 30 days, and Juma'ada Al-Awwal begins at Maghrib on Thursday, April 15, 2010. The 1st of Juma'ada Al-Awwal is Friday, April 16, 2010.

03/16/2010:

Tuesday night 03/16/2010 & Wednesday 03/17/2010 is Rabi-ul-Thani 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Rabi-ul-Thani, 1431. The moon was sighted in West Haven, CT, Gainesville, FL, Long Island, NY and New York City, NY. Consequently, Rabi-ul-Awwal ends with 29 days and Rabi-ul-Thani begins at Maghrib on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. The 1st of Rabi-ul-Thani is Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

02/15/2010:

Monday night 02/15/2010 & Tuesday 02/16/2010 is Rabi-ul-Awwal 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1431. There were no valid reports of moon sighting anywhere in the United States. Consequently, Safar will complete its full cycle of 30 days, and Rabi-ul-Awwal begins at Maghrib on Monday, February 15, 2010. The 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal is Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

01/17/2010:

Saturday night 01/16/2010 & Sunday 01/17/2010 is Safar 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Safar, 1431. There were no valid reports of moon sighting anywhere in the United States. Consequently, Muharram will complete its full cycle of 30 days, and Safar begins at Maghrib on Saturday, January 16, 2010. The 1st of Safar is Sunday, January 17, 2010.

12/17/2009:

Thursday night 12/17/2009 & Friday 12/18/2009 is Muharram 1, 1431
The Chicago Hilal Team would like to welcome the month of Muharram and the year 1431 Hijri. There were no valid reports of moon sighting anywhere in the United States. Consequently, Dhul-Hijjah completed its full cycle of 30 days, and Muharram begins at Maghrib on December 17, 2009. The 1st of Muharram is Friday, December 17, 2009.
