The Chicago Hilal Committee would like to welcome the month of Shaban. The moon was was sighted in both Texas and California on Monday, July 12th (Rajab 29, 1431). Consequently, the 1st of Shaban will be Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

The Chicago Hilal Committee will meet on Tuesday, August 10th (Shaban 29, 1431) to determine the start of Ramadan, 1431. Ramadan will begin on either Wednesday, August 11th or Thursday, August 12th.

Rajab 1, 1431 = Monday, June 14, 2010
